“Koochie Koochie Hota Hai”, Animation film by Karan Johar

Karan Johar is all set to remake the film that made him a star director, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”. Only, this time it will be an animation movie and the characters will be animals. The movie is named “Koochie Koochie Hota Hai” and will be Dharma Production’s first animation movie. It will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani and co-produced by Parana Studios (a seasoned animation house).
The film will be a love story between three dogs, ‘Rocky’, ‘Angie’, and ‘Tina’, who will replace the characters of Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee in the original version. The support cast consists of roosters, bears, cats, pigs and many other animals from the barn. Shah Rukh, Rani and Kajol will reprise their “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” dialogues in animation form, for this movie. The potential release date is late summer of 2009.
Karan’s next release is “My Name Is Khan”. It goes on floors in November this year and would be shot at length in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, and Mumbai.
