Bollywood strike might be called off soon

The much talked about ‘Bollywood strike’ will be called off on Saturday if the producers’ association agrees to the demands of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).

This final decision will be taken at a meeting on Friday evening, In a meeting held on Thursday evening, FWICE gave “a final ultimatum” to the leading producers’ body for giving in writing the acceptance of the demands and signing an agreement.

“We want everything in writing and there will be no compromise in it,” said FWICE general secretary Dinesh Chaturvedi. If the concerned members do not agree to the demands of the federation, then the strike might go on indefinitely. This is surely not a good time for such a thing to happen as the festival season has lots of big movies to look forward to.
