Who is the king of Bollywood?

Many people were of the opinion that the title ‘Sing is Kinng’ was an attempt to prove that Akshay Kumar is the king of Bollywood.

But Akshay Kumar strongly feels that Amitabh Bachchan is undoubtedly the real king of Bollywood. During an event to promote his new movie, ‘Singh is Kinng’ Akki said, “In my opinion, the real king of Bollywood is Amitabh Bachchan.”

“He has been in the industry for the last 40 years while we have been here for 15 years only. To become a king, you don’t need money and power. You must have positive energy and Mr. Bachchan has that,” he added.

On being told that he has a big contribution to Katrina’s present success, he said “Why are you singling her out? You can say she made me successful. I have done hit films with her, as also with Vipul Shah and colleague Javed Jaffrey, with whom I have done films earlier. Filmmaking is all about teamwork and we are all responsible when a film clicks.”

Also referring to the three Khans, he stated: “My competition is with newcomers, not with people of my age group.” We wish him all the best ‘Singh is Kinng’ that will hit theatres with a record number of 1,800 prints on August 8.
